Women love Boxing for Fitness. A growing number of women are “over” aerobics classes and the trendy treadmill scene. Instead, they’re strapping on gloves and punching their way to a different body.
Of the greater than 50 000 people I have taught Fitness Boxing to within the previous 16 years, over half are women. Here are 6 of my finest “girls only” boxing workout tips.
Whether you’re a lady, or even a Personal Trainer who trains girls or maybe you work out with a woman, these tips will provide excellent results.
One of my very best pupils, Lizzie, punches better than many men. She says she’s ever been told, like most women have, to be “a great little woman.” But she gave herself permission to throw great punches and get fighting fit.
Practical Tip: Give yourself permission to get healthy, punch hard and go for it!
Two - Women wish to learn proper punching technique. Girls are great to educate cause they arrive as beginners with “a empty cup.” Men often “know everything,” already when it comes to throwing a punch. They can be more difficult to educate and they often try too hard. Women seem to understand that it’s not about brute force.
Practical Tip: Begin Fitness Boxing with an open mind. Try not to induce it. Just relax and master программа тренировок для девушек of good technique. Practice slowly in front of the mirror - and you’ll get fitter, faster.
3 - Girls want to operate their mid segments and reduced bodies. A good punch means with the ideal muscles. And the ideal muscles will be the thighs, Abs and core. Unfortunately too many Trainers believe a punch is simply about using your arms. However, the arm is merely the nail, while the buttocks and thighs are the hammer. The hammer drives the nail.
Practical Tip: Find your power center - just like in yoga or Pilates. Join your lower body to the floor as possible punch. To put it differently plant, then punch. This may force those lower body muscles into action and make power.
4 - Women do not wish to do Boutique Boxing. Women do not want to perform Boutique Boxing or Box Aerobics. They wish to do the actual thing. Not an actual struggle but they need their workout to be as authentic as possible - real sweat and actual results.
Practical Tip: Discover Authentic Fitness Boxing. In other words don’t combine your boxing with a lot of “box-aerobics” moves such as star jumps and endless push ups.
5 - Women must wrap their hands, just like boxers do. Like men, women will need to wrap their hands correctly. This may seem like a little thing, but actually it is a major thing. Hands are fragile, women’s perhaps more than men’s. Unless you happen to be a street-fighter in your free time, your hands are probably not utilized to punching. We spend a fortune on training shoes, but also will need to look after our palms.
Practical Tip - Use hand packs and proper 8,10 or 12 oz Boxing Gloves, with good padding. Your punches will be more challenging and you’ll have more confidence providing you a superior fitness workout.
6 - Women need to get matched with the perfect partner. A big man can generate two or three hundred pounds of instant force in one punch. The partner who ‘catches’ that punch with punch mitts (a.k.a focus mitts) is going to have rattled. I see this in fitness classes frequently. Big, wild punching guys assaulting the punch mitts with complete power, held with a smaller female (or male) partner. That is a dangerous.
